ABA Therapy
Our ABA therapy sessions begin with an individualized assessment to understand your child’s specific strengths, challenges, and needs. This assessment often includes observations, interviews with parents and other caretakers, and a criteria-referenced skills-based assessment. Based on the results of this assessment, an individualized treatment plan will be developed that outlines specific goals, strategies, and interventions tailored to the child. Evidenced-based behavioral interventions to teach new skills and reduce problematic behaviors are utilized to work with your child. Parents also learn to implement these strategies consistently and effectively to support their child’s development. Data are collected throughout sessions to monitor the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments. Parent feedback about how their child is doing outside of therapy sessions is crucial in determining the effectiveness of interventions.
Strategies Utilize Within Our Practice
Strategies utilized to teach each child is highly dependent on the skill being taught and the child’s response to teaching strategies. Below you will see some of the strategies Dr. Mosca and her team uses to help her clients learn the skills necessary for goal completion.
Discrete Trial Training (DTT):
Breaking down complex skills into small, teachable components and using a structured approach to teach each component systematically.
Natural Environment Teaching (NET):
Teaching skills within the context of the child’s natural environment to promote generalization and maintenance of skills.
Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT):
Focusing on pivotal areas of a child’s development, such as motivation and response to multiple cues, to produce widespread improvements in other areas.
Task Analysis:
